Hello ...

Well Hello again...let's see what is going on....hmmm this afternoon I will make pie crust dough and let it rest until tomorrow. I feel the need to get out and walk with my dog a bit. The sun came out...woohooo...I was missing the sunshine. Brushing Cheyenne sounds like fun too...I bet he is pretty muddy.Tomorrow the farrier is coming to trim the horses hooves...and later tomorrow I will make the pumpkin pies. Two pies ... one for taking and one for home. On Thanksgiving we ride at ten a.m., then off we go...over the river but not through the woods for dinner with friends.
What am I grateful for this year?

I am alive
I can walk
I can ride
Friends
David
Horses
A good dog
And good kitties
My job
My brain
My soul
My heart
The vastness of what I still have to learn in this life

FOLKUKE/ In Case We Die

ok then...

I tried to take a picture of the scrape on my knee but the flash was too bright...I fell (tripped) on the curb while leaving the grocery store. Down, down, down I went. Cut my right forearm and scraped my right knee. Farmer Boy tried to save me... or did he cause the fall? We may never really know...oh well nothing a little beer and bourbon and girlfriends can't cure. ha-ha

Clifford Goes Shopping

Tuesday

Hello, Good Morning to you oh Bloggo!

Well let's see...last Saturday morning Farmer Boy and I planted rye grass seed for hay next spring....20 acres worth. We pulled an old time seed wagon ( originally from Newbert's Hardware Store) with the 1957  Case tractor and hoisted 50 lb. sacks into the bin...beautiful weather...sunny and brisk .
Sunday it rained all day...so... caught up on TV and training DVDs. I am watching "In Treatment" with Gabriel Byrne...dang it is a good show. I really like digging into the characters psyches .
And...I watched the Julie Goodnight training DVD on Improving your Canter. The information was explained was very clearly ( very good visual for what the horses feet/legs do at each pace) and I will watch it again and again  to really get the information in my brain and send it to my muscles while cantering .
Walk ...did I walk?...not really....lots of curling up on the couch with my kitty Emmylou .
Watched the Breeders Cup races on Saturday afternoon...another couch trip.Poor Zenyatta , she lost one race in twenty.
Today...I got up at five a.m.,  fed the kitties and dog, took a shower and off to work. Later on, I am going to the Home Goods store to get a new blanket. It was 39 degrees this morning. Time for a warm blanket on the bed.
