I went to see this movie with my gal pals yesterday...you should see this movie. Yes... I thought it was going to be a Summer-Lite type movie. But...it is really good and worth seeing. The men dancing was fun and exciting...but the story  and the acting was good. Think "Boogey Nights" sorta. Go see this movie!

What Cheyenne and I saw on our early morning ride...

Out before the sun came up and away we did ride....that's the way I like to live my life ...

And this morning...

Cheyenne and Pea got brushed, hooves picked , hoof oil applied as well as fly spray and their mane and tails brushed...oh lots of hugs and scratches too.

Minnie and On Eagles Wings got brushed, hugged and flyspray.

I took  a shower and  shaved my legs baby ...teehee
that's all I got today ...so far....

New Shoes for Cheyenne

Cheyenne got his new shoes yesterday afternoon and Pea got her toes trimmed....I slept in until  6 a.m. this morning...unusual but wow what an early morning dream I had....

This Week Down On The Farm...

This week...I got up early and spent time outside enjoying my life....
Cheyenne, Pea and Minnie got wormed...rather de-wormed...
They also got lots of brushing, loving and hoof cleaning...
Everyone got a bridal path haircut....Minnie got her haircut without even wearing a halter...can you say what an awesome, smart girl??????? Well I can : )
Cheyenne was due for new shoes last Tuesday but...the farrier hurt his back and so he will get new shoes this coming Monday....
The weather went from a hot 100 to 78 as the high and wonderful Delta Breezes coming from the Pacific Ocean...
I visited with my saddle pal Paula yesterday and we got caught up on our lives...she is a smart, funny and clever cowgirl...
Frisco got a foxtail weed removed by the Vet ($$$) and lots of hair removed the same day....I also removed a foxtail from another wound that was starting a couple of days later...whew the dog days of Summer eh?
The cats are all very busy catching gophers and mice...
Farmer Boy is almost done building the carport  attached to the shop with the help of a friend or two...
This morning I slept in a bit...it was soooo nice to have a blanket pulled up to my chin and the ocean/delta breeze blowing in the window....love it, love it, love it ....

Best thing I've done for my soul in years...

This morning I was up and outside by 5:20 and horseback by 5:45 a.m.....Cheyenne and I went for a mile ride. Thank You Cheyenne.
The last time I was up and riding before work was when Mrs. Carli and I would get out early and ride.Thank you Cheyenne...I did not know if I still had that spark in me...now I know I do.Thank you Cheyenne and thank you to me for trying and doing.

So...Farmer Boy and I drove to Vallejo and took the Ferry to The Ferry Building

 We had a scrumptious sandwich made from salty, tasty pork products and a great beer before heading over to Caoi Bella for gelato and walking to the Ballpark.

What was good that happened over last 3 days...

My rash went away

I rode Cheyenne with Jenni and her horses Sunday and Monday mornings

I spent time with my girlfriends

I changed my way of thinking

I think I got through to someone

I am not afraid of change

I embrace happiness in my life

I take responsibilty for myself and no one else

Did I mention  I rode my horse and my rash went away? Yes that was and continues to be good...

doctor, doctor!

So...I call Kaiser Permanente Advice Nurse line and tell them my tale of woe and misery. Aaaah they listen. My doctor (the good Doctor Wong) will call me back at 3:10 that afternoon. By 3:30 no call...I drive to Kaiser and go to the pharmacy determined to buy whatever they have to help clear up this rash that is driving me insane! So...I am gathering oatmeal bath by Aveeno, hydrocortisone cream 1% solution and my phone rings...did I mention I have been on one bar all day?! It is the good Doctor Wong, we have a super quick conversation about me going crazy from the pain and itching and she say's she will call in a prescription for me of two pills and one lotion potion! I buy them...go home...take a luke warm to cool bath in two packets of the oatmeal bath and then pop a pill and apply the lotion potion. Wow...it helped...I was able to sleep and by the time I got home from work the next day Farmer Boy said the rash on my arms looked 30% better...it felt 50% better. Last night I took  a pill as soon as I got home and another at 10 o'clock before I fell asleep and lotioned myself up...much better this morning. I actually feel human aaaaah.

Poison Hemlock: This Weed Kills

Hemlock pollen or whatever part of the freaking plant I got all over myself by breaking the stalks!!!! That is what is causing this damn rash!!!!!!
AAARGH! The Misery....I am swimming in an ocean of Calamine lotion!
I want to scratch this...these rashes so ding dang bad!!!!!!!!I took an allergy pill this morning and the advice nurse at Kaiser said to get some Benedryl for the night time.....aaaargh...

Riding with the gals and watching the Ring of Fire Eclipse with my Farmer Boy

That's what I did this weekend.... Jenni brought Nelson and Ricky over, a friend joined us and off we went (Cheyenne and I ) towards  the River and then over towards  the woods, there are new roads cut into the woods and we took them all. I "trimmed" tree branches and weeds as Cheyenne and I went past them. Later I got a delightful rash on my arms and where my seat/thighs meet the saddle...oh delight of delights...scratch, itch and scratch some more. Oh Calamine lotion thou art a wonderful invention.
Sunday evening  Farmer Boy and I donned a couple of welding helmets and watched the Ring of Fire Eclipse in the yard. It was slow in forming but at its peak oh my the shadows it cast  ! I took some pictures...I hope you can see the effect....It really was quite magical.

oh...and more cows have come home...they hay is up from the pasture and stacked...that's all for now...I gotta go get more Calamine lotion!

Donna Summer Last Dance

Good night Donna....sleep well...I remember walking down Hollywood Blvd. and the song "Love to Love You Baby" was playing from a record store and I danced on the street as it played...aaaaah the 70's and youth :  )

I have a friend...

who calls me princess...funny...she is the only person to EVER call me princess...she says I should be called princess more often...tee hee
so....in that vein of thinking....
The princess and her wonder horse had a marvelous trip through the countryside and woods this weekend. They went for a wonderful ride of walking and trotting both Saturday and Sunday mornings. The weather was absolutely spectacular and the company was grand. Jenni a princess from the neighboring land of Wilton  and her fine steed Ricky were along for the jaunt :)

So...yesterday morning Jenni came over with her horse Ricky and away Cheyenne and I went. We haven't had a good ride in a while due to rain and such. so, this was a really good ride. It was good for us to get out, relax, stretch and breath. Whew...thanks Jenni, Ricky and Cheyenne!
